Ship captain sentenced to 20 months imprisonment over Mauritius oil spill

It has been more than a year since the Mauritius oil spill and in the latest now coming in a court in Mauritius has handed a 20-month jail sentence to the captain and first mate for freighter which crashed into a coral reef in July of 2020 causing the Indian Ocean archipelago's worst environmental disaster.
